Origin & History:

Descended from English Bulldogs brought to America in the 17th century, the American Bulldog was used for farm work, guarding, and hunting. The breed nearly disappeared but was revived in the mid-20th century.

Size & Weight:

Males stand 22–27 inches and weigh 75–120 pounds, while females are slightly smaller.

Appearance & Breed Characteristics:

Muscular and athletic, American Bulldogs have a strong frame, broad chest, and short coat. Coat colors include white with patches of brindle, red, tan, or black.

Temperament & Personality:

Confident, courageous, and affectionate with family, American Bulldogs are natural protectors. They are loyal and loving but can be wary of strangers without proper socialization.

Exercise & Training Needs:

Daily exercise is important, including long walks, play, and strength-based activities. Training should be firm yet positive, with consistent socialization from puppyhood.

Grooming, Shedding & Coat Care:
