Rehoming

At Puppies and Rescues, our main focus is providing families with healthy, happy puppies for sale from trusted breeders. But we also believe every dog deserves a loving home. That’s why we also offer a dog rehoming program to help find new families for dogs in need.

Whether it’s a puppy purchased from our store or a small breed rescue dog, our rehoming efforts give pets a second chance while still prioritizing the health and happiness of the puppies we sell.

Our Dog Rehoming Program

We carefully evaluate each dog before accepting them into our rehoming program. Here’s how we define rescues and rehoming at Puppies and Rescues:

Owner Surrender Rehoming

Priority is given to rehoming dogs that were originally purchased from our store.

Breeder Surrenders

We accept dogs surrendered by reputable breeders who trust us to rehome their dogs responsibly.

Public Surrenders (Limited)

On occasion, we may rehome dogs from the public if they meet certain criteria:

  • Must be a breed and size suitable for rehoming in our space
  • Please note: we do not accept fully grown large breeds due to space limitations.

How Our Puppy Rehoming Works

Rehoming isn’t just about taking in a dog—it’s about matching them with the right family. Our puppy rehoming process includes:

Call First

Do not bring a dog directly to our store. All rehoming must be approved by our staff.

Evaluation

Once approved, we check the dog’s health, vaccination records, and temperament.

Placement

We find the best possible home through our network of families looking for puppies and small breed dogs.
