El Cairn Terrier     

Origin & History: 

Originating in Scotland, the Cairn Terrier was bred for hunting vermin among the rugged Cairn Mountains. It gained fame as a spirited, courageous, and intelligent companion.

Size & Weight: 

Small breed, it stands 9–10 inches tall and weighs 13–14 pounds.

Appearance & Breed Characteristics: 

Compact, sturdy, with a wiry coat that can be cream, wheaten, red, gray, or black. It has pointed ears and expressive dark eyes.

Temperament & Personality: 

Alert, cheerful, and confident. A Cairn Terrier is independent yet affectionate with family and good with children.

Exercise & Training Needs: 

Daily walks and play are essential. Training should be consistent, patient, and reward-based.

Grooming, Shedding & Coat Care: 

Its wiry coat requires brushing several times a week and occasional hand-stripping. Shedding is minimal.
