Origin & History:

Corgis originate from Wales and were bred as herding dogs. The Cardigan and Pembroke varieties have distinct traits but share intelligence, agility, and strong herding instincts.

Size & Weight:

Small to medium, standing 10–13 inches tall and weighing 25–38 pounds, depending on the variety.

Appearance & Breed Characteristics:

Cardigans have long tails and rounded ears, while Pembrokes have short tails and pointed ears. Both have sturdy bodies, thick double coats, and colors including red, sable, fawn, black, and tan.

Temperament & Personality:

Intelligent, friendly, and energetic. A Corgi is loyal and affectionate, often exhibiting playful herding behavior even with family members.

Exercise & Training Needs:

Moderate daily exercise, including walks and play. Training should be consistent, positive, and mentally stimulating.

Grooming, Shedding & Coat Care:

Double coat requires regular brushing, especially during shedding seasons. Moderate shedding.
